Appalling Service from 'Experienced' company

I withdrew my pension 6 weeks ago and on submitting my claim I was informed by a call centre agent that the process takes up to 4 weeks to complete. I have been calling old mutual once a week to establish the progress on my application. On 22 May I was told that a tax directive has been applied for an I should expect payment within 7 working days. I decided to follow up with SARS and I was told that no tax directive has been applied for. It has been 7 days since the last call with SARS and still no tax directive has been applied for. I called old mutual again and I was given the same that a tax directive has been applied for. I don't believe that SARS has any reason to mislead me.

Can it be that old mutual are trying to milk as much interest as possible from my lump sum payout that they are not expediting my payment? For a company that claims to have been in business for over. 165 years, I find their employees to be too incompetent to handle simple matters. It is really discouraging to receive such an appalling level of service from a company that claims to be professional, efficient and 'world-class'. Does this statement only apply when you receive my premiums? Pay out!!!
