Nedbank
My account is on overdraft

Business & Finance

I have a Nedbank cheque account without an overdraft facility. On Saturday I transferred money to pay all my accounts as I would normally do. When I check my account bank balance it is reflecting a positive bank balance that was on Saturday. I made cash withdrawals using a Nedbank ATM, and everything was normal. I checked my balance on Sunday and there was still funds but not enough for my debit orders. My debit orders went off on Monday so when i checked my balance again i am on a -R1114,

I called the callcentre and they said that my transfers only went off on Monday (I understood) but what I am not understanding is why would they continue and allow me to make transactions if i do not have enough funds? and do not have an overdraft facility, so all of these amounts were supposed to return as unpaid and not put my account on an overdrawn status. Now I owe Nedbank an amount of R1114, meaning when my salary comes in, they will first deduct R1114, where as they were supposed to return my transfers as unpaid.

I want Nedbank to rectify my account cause I made these transfers on Saturday i still had more than enough funds, for them to be now on a negative balance
