On the 24th of March 2013, I took my insured phone to MTN in Woodmead to have a cracked screen repaired. The phone was working perfectly, but because it was a touch screen I thought it would be best to have that repaired. At MTN, I completed the claim forms and was told that the insurance people would come and fetch the phone. Three weeks later, the phone was still at MTN. I later received an sms from Admin Plus that the phone is being assessed. I kept calling Admin Plus and the claims consultant was never available to take my calls and didn't bother calling me back. After numerous follow ups, I was eventually told that the excess would be R150, I paid on 29th of April. Later, I was told that the phone was beyond economic repairs and that I should collect a replacement phone at the store at a value of R4400. But then they came back and said that they will send a handset to the store to be collected on Thursday. I went on Friday and there was no phone. I'm sick and tired of all this back and forth. I need my phone now. I paid another R210 and is expecting atleast a Lumia 710 or 720 nothing less. MTN told me to expect a 510 and that's. I am covered to receive a better phone.
