I am disgusted with the help that I have received from Standard bank. As a four year customer I really expected my bank to protect me against a dealership that sold me an unsafe vehicle that they financed for me and which I have returned within 2 working days. They have done nothing to assist me in this nightmare instead the contact person from Standard Bank who managed the deal has never come back to me after calls and emails and has been nothing but unhelpful and unfriendly. On requesting cancellation at Standard Bank the day I returned the vehicle, I was provided with a reference number 53054330. Since this whole ordeal I have gotten a lawyer, filed with the NCC and the Ombudsman. Standard bank has been emailed in all correspondence but still no help. This has been dragged out for a month even though the dealership was in clear contravention of section 54 and 56 of the Consumer Protection act. They have done nothing to assist me in this nightmare. The service I have experienced this year with the bank who "invests in people" has been nothing but pathetic. Hopefully a new bank will be different.
