My car was financed by ABSA no complaints there, problem is in my second year of paying the vehicle i was struggling with keeping up with the instalment i asked if ABSA could assist they offered help but the price of their help was at the cost of your credit record. apparently if ABSA says its OK to pay part of the instalment the outstanding amount will be regarded as default by the bank and will reflect badly on your credit record if you 60 and you have bought a property it might be ok but when you still need to do this? so its help that's actually causing you more damage, i would suggest people get loans from Capitec bank because after a year of paying u can renegotiate and still keep your credit record good and also guys don't rush to accept deals without asking what the bank is actually giving besides money, to keep you as comfortable as they are when they work out their interest. worried about banks conduct
