I applied for a Laptop online with FNB on the 19/12/2012 as part of their smart banking solution. I was later contacted by a CC agent to confirm receipt and approval of my application, advisng me of the expected time of delivery from the couriers which would be approximately 10working days. Being the holiday season i understood that i would only receive the device in the new year, however when i called the contact center sometime last week i was informed all is in order the couriers are just back logged i should give it another week. a week has gone past and NO DEVICE when i called again today, i was informed that i would infact NOT BE RECEIVING THE DEVICE i ordered since it had been discontinued by the manufacturer. I am appaulled by this, because no one had called/sent me any form of communication to inform me of this while i had been waiting for my device this whole time. I have always belived FNB was a great bank, however this has changed my perception towards the Bank. None of the call centre agents i spoke to where helpful instead i was transfered from one dept to the next. If this is how FNB treats its customers, i donot see why i should continue doing business with them
