On the 17/04/2003 I wanted to withdraw R 500 from Savings account, the ATM used was an FNB Atm at a SASOL N12 South. Unfortunately I couldn't get the money due to a technical difficulty, at 19:10 I called the customer helpline and spoke to Bafana who lodged my query. I received a Reference Number: 52811494. Seven days later I called to find out how long before the query will be resolved and I was told it takes 12 days if an FNB atm was used to resolve the query. Last week Tuesday I called, which meant it was now 13 days later and the lady who helped me promised to escalate the query and that someone was going to call me back the very same day. On Saturday 17 days later I called the customer helpline again complaining about the pathetic service, she promised that on the 13 May 2013 someone was going to call me back, once again no one called, this is two broken promises. 20 days later and as simple query is still unresolved.
Still no response from Standard Bank and this over a measly R 500.00, I have other accounts with all the other Banks in South Africa but never in my life have I experienced such pathetic customer service.
This type of conduct is moving backward and not forward.
