GARNISHEE

I have called in to get my balance of a garnishee that is going off my salary and was told that my balance is more than what was stated on the statement. The initial loan amount was R6500, which I'm now going to be paying 5 times the amount. I was told that it is because of 60% interest, I spoke to someone who was absolutely useless. Firstly, I held on for over 5 mins and then she tells me she will forward my query to another department. I have proof of payments for my garnishee which started in June 2012 to date, as per my calculations the end of May 2013 should be my last payment. This garnishee is killing me financially as I dont earn much and I'm a sole provider in my home. My garnishee is for R1100 which is absolutely ridiculous considering that I only borrowed R6500, yet I have to pay R1100 for 36 months, it makes no sense at all. When i signed the "Notice of Default", the lady from Coombe didnt inform me it was to garnish my salary. I still have the document which I signed which says nothing about a garnishee. I have escalated the matter to the NCR and I'm awaiting feedback!
