AIP Services-Money deducted without authorisation

End April money was deducted from my ABSA account for Car Insurance, I already have insurance which I'm more than happy with, why would I want a second Insurer? 6 May I phoned ABSA who informed me to contact AIP Services. Apparently I was contacted in February this year regarding this, which I cannot remember. I have requested a copy of the recorded conversation and is still waiting for this. I spoke to Minette who informed me that pulling the recording and refunding would take 5-7 working days. She also wanted my insurance policy schedule which I emailed to her. Today I followed up on how the refund was coming along and was informed by another gentleman that the schedule should not be older than 3 months, why did she not inform me? I only receive a schedule from my Insurance once a year or if changes are made. I do not see how any money can be deducted from my bank account without my consent, this is in my eyes, and therefore I expect this money to be returned immediately. A suggestion for going forward is that you phone customers, if they are interested you email them more info and get them to sign and fax/email a signed document to you as authorisation.
