Unable to cancel my policy

In 2004 my father took out insurance on a Chevrolet Spark. In February 2009 the car was sold. After many calls and a lot of frustration, now, 4 years later, he is still paying the insurance on this car!! He is a truck driver and does not have the time to sit down and write emails as I do. He is also 62 years old. No one seems to be able to help at the "help center" and 4 years of payments cannot or will not be paid back. He has just received a sms telling him he is getting about R100 back for his no claim bonus. Of course he did not claim, he does not have the car anymore! This is unacceptable. Is there no one working at outsurance that can rectify this? And why is this money still being deducted from his bank account!?
He was told that he needs to put in writing that he wants to cancel this policy. For a company that sells their insurance over the phone, this seems a bit primitive. I cannot even send a email in this regard as there is no email address on your site.
