First National Bank
FNB DO NOT FOLLOW NATIONAL CREDIT ACT

Business & Finance

I was a loyal FNB customer. I got into too much debt due to having 2 autistic children. I did not run away from my obligations, but applied for debt counselling in Feb 2010. I followed the debt counselling process to every letter of the law, never missing one required payment. A court order was granted in March 2011, stipulating my required payment plan, i have increased the amount paid every time i got an increase. During the initial period before the court order, i only got threatining letters, phone calls etc about not paying enough. No one phoned to talk about trying to help restructure my accounts - before i would get lots of call offering me more credit.

My one credit card had a limit of R40000, I have paid over R16000 into it in the last 3 years, but I owe R46000 now. they have and still are charging me more interest than the granted court order - against the law - the debt councillor has sent them numerous emails. DONT BANK WITH FNB THEY DO NOT CARE WHEN YOU HAVE PROBLEMS ONLY WHEN THEY MAKE MONEY OUT OF YOU. Please note certain devisions of FRB are great Direct axis restructured my account before the court order, and i am actually in credit with my repayments
