Taking money from acc with no permssion at all

Opened an account, within my first salary deposited to this absa account, R5000 was deducted for a personal loan i had many years ago, i was never contacted to say i still have the loan and must pay and how much can i pay etc. Would have commited to a payment plan which suited me, and as far as i was conecrned this loan was written off. i gave no permission to anyone to deduct this amount from my account as now i do not have money to pay my rent and expenses for the rest of the month.

It doesnt seem right to have a persnal account and then anyone can take money out of it as they please with no permission. Im sure anyone would be more than willing to have made payment arragements. This is very unproffesional and unacceptable.
