Invoices outstanding - struggling with payment

I was hospitalized twice in March (19 March - Pneumomia (2 days in care) and (27th March Knidney Infection and also found out that I'm pregnant (2.5 days in care). After numerous phone calls and e-mails to Essential Med from myself and the medical institutions, no payments has been made to them for services during my hospitalization. This includes xrays, ultrasounds and pathology. As I am experiencing problems with my pregnancy I will have to make use of these services on a regular basis, how am I suppose to make appointments knowing that I owe them money as no payment had taken place from my medical insurance? This has been almost 2 months which is unacceptable for me as there are no indication that they will pay in the near further.
