NSFAS
Not credited for my Bursary

Business & Finance

I completed my degree in 2011 within 3 years. In my final year, we were given an opportunity to write an RPL test for a Commercial Computer System module or register for the whole module. I had registered to write the test but was unable to attend on the day of the test, therefore I registered for the module which I passed by 84% at the end of the year. However, my academic record showed the RPL test as Failed: Absent From Exam but also showed that I later passed the module. I graduated in March 2012. NSFAS had offered 2011 final year students a bursary for the whole year if they completed within the 3 years, therefore I qualified. NSFAS has still not deducted the amount of R26060 which was my tuition for 2011 after countless calls and emails explaining my situation with them several times. This a big concern as it's been a year already and the problem hasnt been solved. I want to start paying my account, but I cant pay while it's still reflecting an incorrect amount. Worst is that I'm being charged interest on this amount. Please sort this out.
