I applied online for an overdraft with FNB on Tuesday, 30th April. To date, I have received no communication. I called today and was put through to over 5 different people (each one telling me that they were going to transfer me to an overdraft consultant, but each time, 5 times over, I was put through to someone else again, who could not help). Eventually, I spoke to a gentleman who advised that my application was declined but that he could put me through to someone else who could begin the process again? Why? So that I can be declined again and then left with no communication? How dare you FNB? A loyal customer of yours for over 10 years? And you decline my one credit request on what basis? You do not even allow me to explain myself, but automatically decline me? HOW DARE YOU? Is this how you treat your loyal customers? By refusing to assist them in a time of need and then not even telling them that you are not going to assist them? I doubt the bank that "Steve" works for treats their valued customers in this appalling manner, maybe I need to go to Steve's bank!
