Groupon SA - False Advertizes Prices

Groupon SA frequently promises large discounts for purchases of goods via their on-line service.

They have been selling a Cielo cantilever umbrella for R1, 595 informing their customers that this umbrella is on discount of 41%. This exact umbrella retails from a normal high street retailer (Checkers) for R699. This is more than double the standard retail price of this item.

I have also seen them selling other goods, such as electronics for R299 promising that it is at a massive discount. However, the same lights I have seen selling at Game for R99.

This is false advertising and they are scamming their customers. This is a shame organisation and consumers should be warned!!
