Paying less does'nt mean you should get nothing

Awhile ago I purchased my first Groupon for a photo-shoot at BLUESTONE PHOTOGRAPHY. We used this Groupon to do our engagement shoot and the editing was supposed to take around ten days, it is now almost six months later, yet no photos have been produced. We have to contact the supplier as there is no contact from their side, and what we get are empty promises and poor excuses. We have contacted them telephonically and electronically on around twenty occasions.

Groupon sent an email asking us to rate the service, Obviously it was the lowest rating possible, and yet no representative from Groupon has contacted us to enquire as to the rating.

I would discourage any and every person from using Bluestone photography as our experience has been dreadful.

I pose the question that should we get subpar service simply because we are offered a discount? And should Groupon not take measures to ensure this level of unprofessionalism would not be associated with them? After all the only reason why we purchased the Groupon is directly due to notion that if this service is offered on such a big and well known site that it can be trusted.
