Payment refused

I was offered a promotion job over bbm by Brittany which I accepted. I was given the basics very briefly & told to drive to client in Fourways to pick up promotional goods. I happily obliged. Briattany asked me if I had a friend who would like to work with me. I found a girl who agreed to do the shift with me. On collecting the goods from the client he casually asked if I would take pictures because the ones he got from the previous promo were blury. At no point did he or Brittany say that if pictures were not taken, I would not get paid. The promo day came at Makro Alberton & the other promoter didnt pitch. I set up and manned the stand alone, as well as did the break down alone and even worked an hour longer than I was meant to. Long story short, when I ask about the payment for the job which was promised to me 48hrs after the job, I get ignored and told that they have no proof that I worked, (DESPITE the report done on the promotion by the venue manager at Makro on the day) because there are no pics, & the other promoter didnt pitch so i dont get paid? SAS PROMOTIONS admitted to sitting with my pay from the client but wont pay me. NO contract/rules were given to me prior.
