Unreliable transfer from Harare to Kariba

We recently flew from Joburg to Harare on a trip to Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe. The transfer company responsible for our road transfer to Kariba was very unreliable. To top it off bad attitude from the owner. They arrived 45 minutes late to fetch a group of 10 passengers. No one was waiting to meet and greet with a sign board. My SA travel agent had re-iterated on numerous occasions that a 20-seater luxury coach with trailer was required so we could all sit together and accommodate luggage and fishing rods etc. This had all been confirmed by Pesha prior to the trip. They arrived with two 7-seater vehicles. And a 3rd vehicle for luggage! The complimentary water and soft drinks were not on the bus (we had paid for this). Upon return, the pick up from the houseboat was late for 2 passengers who needed to get to the airport as they were flying the same day. Once again no water/drinks were supplied. We were told the drinks were sitting in Makuti??

So all in all, bad attitude and drivers that arrived when it suited them.

Luckily this didn't spoil our trip - all the rest was superb - service, accommodation, houseboat, food and drinks! Just sorry about the drivers and poor service.
