Komati Gorge Lodge
PET FRIENDLY BUT NOT PEOPLE FRIENDLY

We were a family of 32 people that went to this lodge to spend New Year together. Firstly I would like to say that Amanda was very pleasant to deal with but her husband must be the rudest person I have ever dealt with in my whole life. He should NOT be allowed to deal with the customers in ANY way.
The location of this Lodge is stunning. The decor needs serious updating, The bedding was old and stained and only 3 TV channels. Pictures on the website are very misleading and were obviously taken years ago when the lodge was opened. We found that we were almost discouraged to spend our money there, which we found very strange, we were under the impression there was a small convenience shop which didn't exist, we could not even get a sandwich after 2 pm till 6.30pm, we were told by Amanda's husband that we drank all the alcohol in their bar (haha) we thought we were supporting this lodge by using their Bar facilities, obviously they didn't need our revenue (never been told that before what a joke). Had to beg and plead to do Quad Biking which was put off all day, until it rained. One good thing was the food but expensive we had to pre-order it in afternoon. Also beware LOTS OF TICKS
