Good day, I am hereby reporting the poor to bad service received at my stay over the weekend at the Westin Grand hotel in Cape Town. On arrival, the lady at the front desk had no welcoming smile and continued to assist us in this manner. When we arrived in the room, the television was not connecting. We then proceeded back down to reception to log a call with their Maintenance team. When we got back to the room we found the door open and two gentlemen working on the TV with my handbag open just underneath the TV screen (this was completely unacceptable). Later on Saturday, I called for in room dining. The gentleman "Ashley" that took my order could not give me proper direction with the items on the menu. I was advised that the dish I was ordering was for two people yet it was a starter to share. with this order, I requested a cup of coffee "which came in a disposable cup" only an hour after I had to call back to advise them that the coffee was not delivered with the food. My husband booked for two people yet the room only had one gown and one pair of slippers. The keys to our room was handed over with 1 sachet of sugar at the coffee bar. What a disaster and this was my birthday getaway. I am completely unhappy with the service we received.
