I recently obtained a number of quotes from different travel agents for a 5 star honeymoon in Thailand.
I decided to go with the quote from Flight Centre Gateway after comparing and studying the detail of the quote vs other quotes obtained. I then physically went into the Gateway branch and paid R69, 000 for the total package. 3 Days later I collected my airline tickets and itinerary, that evening I discovered that the itinerary excluded speed boat transfers from Phukett to Phi Phi Islands and from Phi Phi to Kho Lak instead FLIGHT CENTRE GATEWAY, included Ferry and bus Transfers. I had actually cancelled more luxurious accommodation with other agents as I thought (since I have been to Thailand a number of times) the package deal with the speed boat transfer was part and parcel of a better option. Since lodging the complaint with Flight Centre they have taken 4 weeks to come back to me indicating that they made a mistake and were willing to pay for half the cost of the speed boat option and that if I wanted to cancel my trip cancellation fees would apply. I indicated to them that it was not my intention to cancel but that I want what I paid for! To date my complaint is unresolved!
