Stayinpaternoster - At The Beach Cottage
Dirty holiday

I booked a holiday through letting agent Stayinpaternoster at "At the beach cottage 1" from 29 Dec 2013 - 12 Jan 2014 at a R1000 per day for a self catering unit. I was informed that the bed linen, bath towels were provided and only a beach towel would be required. To my horror I found that not only was the bed linen and towels not washed, the bed was infected with bugs. I attempted various methods of extermination but nothing seemed to help, my 14 day stay had to be cut short to an unbearable 5 days of sleepless itchy nights, and that was only the bed, they did not even have the decency to properly clean the rest of the house. The fridge and wash basin had ominous smells, there was still left over food in the freezer, the braai was left unclean as well as the stove, oven and microwave to the point where one feels that you cannot cook food in that kitchen. After informing them of my complaints, it took them 2 days to respond, where upon I was informed that they are unable to provide someone to clean and that I was left to arrange someone my self. I strongly advise against booking your holiday here. I regret spending my hard earned money on a holiday that turned into a nightmare!
