Translux/City To City
Wrong info on Website results in extra 40km travel

Traveling & Tourism

I had to pick up a guest travelling with Translux from Welkom to Midrand on Sunday. 3 weeks ago another guest made the same trip, and was dropped off at Samrand Ultra city as per your website:

MIDRAND STOPPING POINTS:
Please be informed of the new Midrand stopping points effective from 01/11/2013.
o Samrand Shell Ultra City - N1 North (Office hours from 07:00am to 18:00pm)
o Samrand Shell Ultra City - N1 South (Office hours from 07:00am to 18:00pm)
Kindly note that the current stopping points at Caltex Garage in Midrand will only be utilised until end of November 2013.

Firstly the bus was an hour earlier than scheduled - how does that happen? I travelled to the Ultra City from Centurion, which means I had to utilise the offramp at Olifantsfontein to get on the N1 North again. When I got there, the traveller let me know that they were dropped off at the Caltex, which is, according to your website, not used anymore? This means I had to get back on the N1, use Old Jhb offramp to get back on the N1 South, use Allandale offramp to get back on the N1 North, to reach the Caltex. A 31 km trip, turned into a 72km trip, with a couple of e-toll added for good measure. Disgraceful!
