Gross Negligence and health and safety hazzard

In a nutshell, I sustained deep cuts to the shin bone on both my legs at Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour. This happened due to safety break failure and partly on my part for forgetting to slow myself down as I was sliding down the cables.

My worst experience was the fact that after sustaining the injuries there was no provision make for me not to continue with the tour. I was bleeding and was made to through and finish the tour with my open wounds as there were no bandages to rap me up. I view this as very life threatening as I could have broken both legs and how would I be expected to continue with the tour under such circumstances.

On arriving at the office where I met the Managing Director I was told that the local clinic is closed and that Canopy Tours does not have a doctor on call and that I must go to the nearest doctor who is about 35km away. There was only a level 1 First Aider on site who then covered my wounds.

The Manager said to me in no ambiguous terms that Canopy Tours cannot accept any responsibility because I failed to stop myself and that their safety/emergency brake would have worked if I also made an effort to stop myself. VERY UNSAFE AND NEGLEGENT
