British Airways Price Promise is a

I needed to book flights in a hurry (on Monday) for an emergency business trip to Cape Town (on Tuesday). I usually fly BA as they are normally quite competitive so I quickly booked my flights through them being aware of their Price Promise.

When I had some spare time I compared other flights at almost exactly the same times and found flights that were more than half the price on [URL Removed] I then submitted a Price Promise claim to BA. I received a mail back to say that I was not eligible as the competing website is an airline website and a qualifying flight would have to be on a public point of sale travel website.

I then found two other airlines with substantially cheaper flights on [URL Removed] (a public point of sale travel website). I received a reply to say that this was also not eligible as they were not a "competing website".

What a load of nonsense.

BRITISH AIRWAYS "PRICE PROMISE" IS A - they will come up with an excuse why the cheaper fares you find are not eligible and will never pay a claim!!!
