I was travelling alone with my 16 month old daughter. We landed in CT at 21:00 on Sunday 27/01/2013. She was sleeping so I put her in the pram as we disembarked but still needed help getting my luggage - I couldn't push a pram plus a luggage trolley. I went to the BA luggage enquiry desk at the domestic baggage claim and asked the lady (who's name I unfortunately didn't get) if she could organise someone to help me. She was extremely rude and said her job was not to help with children or luggage. I asked how I was supposed to manage and she said I should go fetch my husband in the arrivals hall to help. I explained that there was no-one meeting me - I was in my own car. She then said I should go sort it out with ACSA. I left not knowing what to do next. I then saw a gentleman standing near the conveyor belt and asked if he could help to organise a porter. He worked for SAA and even although I hadn't flown SAA, he still got all my luggage onto a trolley and pushed it all the way to my car. I can't believe the bad attitude that I got from BA staff! So much for the announcement by the stewardess when we landed that if we need assistance they would gladly help!
