I was contacted by GTASA in May 2010 stating that they were conducting a market survey and that I had won a prize for taking part in their survey. I attended a brief presentation in Montagu in order to collect my prize which was a free holiday. I asked the person on the telephone if the presentation was about Time Share, because I was already a time share owner. She answered negatively.
They convinced me to sign a contract based on, besides other savings, the fact that they agreed to sell our current Holiday Club points at a value equal to or more than our annual levy. On that basis I agreed to sign.
Since then I had one offer of R1000 for by points although the levy was R3000 pa.
When I tried to claim my free prize, I had to register and pay R960/night! I then tested their booking system and could get the service cheaper than GTASA price.
In May 2011 I cancelled my membership without requesting a refund After many mails and telephone calls payments stopped. I accepted my membership was cancelled although I had no confirmation.
Now 2 years later they contacted me claiming the outstanding amounts and cancellation fees although I received no benefit from any of their services
