We would like Emirates to provide Justin with the following listed below for the inconvenience and the terrible ordeal that he had to face in Dubai, due you the policies and procedures during the check in was not adhered to.1) Return ticket from OR Tambo to Muscat (First class)
2) Accommodation to be fully paid for the duration of his stay in Muscat
3) Costs incurred whilst he was contacting the family in Muscat and in SA - for the value of R500 including food and telephone cards purchased.
NB: Most importantly we were very upset that he was not even allowed to get his luggage to at least freshen up and change his clothes. Only after his return ticket to SA was confirmed, thereafter he was checked in and was allowed to go and purchase some food. Also at the Oman Air counter he was given a complaint form to complete stating the error was with Emirates for allowing him to board the plane at O R Tambo.
Attached also please find the letter from the University that also invited Justin, whilst he was supposed to be there, however did not materialize due to the passport issue.
Your urgent feedback will be greatly appreciated.
We are still awaiting contact details from Dubai.
