In February I booked 2 chalets at Loskop Dam for the Loskop marathon in April. One chalet was for family from Bulawayo coming especially to run the marathon, 8 of us were participating, On the Monday before the Marathon RCI called to say they should never have given me the booking as they did not have units available over that weekend. They offered to find me other accommodation in the area. I phoned for days and I got a cancelled chalet at Loskop for my Zim family and a tent for my family 15kms away, not convenient, as it meant constantly travelling back and forth, especially on the morning of the race. RCI did reimburse me the difference in the payments. Our original booking was Friday to Monday, and our two families had booked through QVC into C Springs from Monday. RCI said we could then book into Crystal Springs on the Sunday night. On arrival a Crystal Springs they had no record of our booking. I was feeling stupid as I had sorted all the bookings and it was all going wrong. Crystal Springs did accommodate us for the night. RCI has not once offered me any form of apology, They said they gave me a free weekend at C S, but it was 1 night only to make up for a night a LKop..
