Our Daughter was booked on Greyhound leaving Bethlehem for Cape Town Thursday 6 June. After sitting for over an hour waiting for the 4pm departure my Husband phoned to find out where the bus was to be informed we should have received an sms informing us of late arrival/departure - no sms. Bus arrived an hour late, only to be met by a very sulky/unhelpful driver and stewardess - no aplogy either (there were 2 other passengers, with a baby, sitting on the pavement, in the freezing cold who also did not receive any explanation via sms!) On our Daughter's return from Cape Town to Bethlehem, she was then informed by sms that the bus was running 45 minutes late, so she went to grab a bite to eat whilst waiting, to return to the station in time for the bus's late arrival/departure, only to be reprimanded by the hostess that the bus had been waiting for her and had not been late after all!!! Get your facts straight. She said the stewardess was again very unhelpful and sulky. No refreshments were offered on the return trip of 16 hours! Now surely for the price you pay for the ticket you would expect better service and facilities???
