If you are thinking of becomming a British Airways Executive Club member because of the wonderful offers of free flights and upgrades using your Avios points, then think again. If you want to use all of your Avios points the fees and taxes will amount to more than if you booked a flight without using the miles. As for a free flight or even a flight using points plus money - what a joke! You try finding a flight, bet you can't! Perhaps if you look a year in advance you might stand a chance but look in May for a flight in July/August NO CHANCE. It's just a. When I phoned to ask why there were no flights available using points when I could book a flight without using any points I was told that there are only a few available and they become available at different days and times. So what must I do, I know, I'll become a clarevoyant then I stand a chance of getting a flight. The best thing is to throw the card away as it is not worth the plastic it is printed on.
