Unacceptable Service

I have been flying Emirates for the past 9 years and over this time I have noticed a rapid decline in your efficiency, service and staff friendliness. On a recently flight from Johannesburg back to London, my partner and I were faced with unacceptable service from an airline that boasts excellent service. Your "excellent service" involved the following:

Not being allocated the seats requested, despite being claustrophobic
Emailing the airline with a query prior to flying and still waiting for a reply
When asking for water, we were told that "not everyone gets what they want" by the air steward
Not being served a choice of meal on any of the 4 legs of the journey (what is the point of a menu?)
My TV screen was unstable, wobbling throughout the journey.
The handle of the cabin luggage compartment was broken and refastened with masking tape. (Not very reassuring when you are about to be 25000 feet in the air)

Emirates was once my airline of choice for every holiday. However, after this most recent flight, I would gladly reconsider my airline.
