Incompetence

Traveling & Tourism

I wanted to book an "Executive Safari Tent" (as stated on the website) at Bakgatla in Pilanesberg for a weekend, found a website indicating the estimated rates and upon requesting a quote was referred to African Vintage. Anique Kotze from African Vintage replied with an estimate for a chalet that was about R1800 more expensive in total than an "Executive Safari Tent". I then emailed her asking if an "Executive Safari Tent" was available for the weekend, whereupon she replied via a generic "Good day; Thank you and kind regards" email that "Bakgatla only has Safari Tents which 4 people can sleep in and it's not executive". I replied with a picture of the tents from the website asking if one of them was available and the cost. Her reply in the same generic type email: yes. I then replied asking re availability and cost and while waiting for a reply checked the company out on hellopeter and found the other complaint about the company's service. She then insulted my intelligence and sent me an estimate that was -R2300 more than the prices shown on the internet. I sincerely hope potential overseas tourists do not receive the same treatment.
