Vodacom
Contract not as agreed upon - due to stock issue

Telecommunications

I went to Vodacom Menlyn to upgrade my contract.
I was told mid march that I would need to do it at the end of the month.
I went to Vodacom Melnlyn to upgrade my contract on 31 March.
I was then told there is no stock of the Samsung Note 2, but they will have stock on the 4th of April.

Stock only arrived on 8 April. Although my contract was already being charged at the higher contract rate, I was not able to take my phone as Vodacom did not upgrade the portfolio on the system. The staff was very helpful in sorting the problem out for me. However, when i finally went to fetch my phone, which Vodacom did not have in stock when I applied for the new contract, I was told that the same contract and phone will now cost me R150pm more, than it should have, if they had the phone in stock. This was apparently due to price increases. The Note 2 that was received, was the version without the LTE 4G network as well.

So just because Vodacom did not have the stock when I took the contract, I must now pay R150pm more, for a older Note2?

I do feel that the staff at the Menlyn branch was quite helpful, but the fact that 10 days later, due to waiting for stock will now cost me more, is unaccepta
