Poor unreliable ADSL service & fault fixing

For several months now my ADSL line has experience intermittent connection problems especially between 19:30-22:00 in the evenings. Initially it took the logging of several faults and some "verbal dissatisfaction" with the call centre to get the line "stable". However, the line instability has returned several weeks later. Even when the line is synchronised, the connection speeds are NOWHERE near the 1Mbps quoted by Telkom's marketing material.

Telkom's ability to rectify faults is poor and their solutions (i.e. "let's reset the line remotely") don't last. The ADSL service is unreliable and under performs quoted offerings.

Why this complaint? I'm actually not sure, as I don't think Telkom will respond to this (if they even see it). Based on how effectively they fix the initial problems leading to this complaint, I don't think even if they do respond it will make any difference. Again why this complaint? Well I have already wasted some much time phoning the Telkom Call Centre (and being put through to the Scooters Pizza Call Centre; HOW DID THIS HAPPEN???), that wasting some more time wouldn't be problematic. (Hope line stays connected to upload this report, ... LET'S SEE!)
