How long for a sim swop

I lost my sim card and went to telkom on the 7/04/2013 to do a sim swop and they say it went through.today i went back to find out what happened with it and they phoned 8ta and they said there systems are down and i must wait 2 to 3 days for the sim swop.why should i wait so long for it as other networks take 2 hours and not 3 days.really 8ta this is just bad sirvice!!
