I called Cell C insurance beginning of Janauary 2013 for a quote for my Samsung S3. The call centre agent said in order to get a price I need to go through their system process, including giving my banking details which I found very strange, I even asked why and I was told it is standard procedure. I was given the price and I said I will call back as I was shopping around for quotes at that time. Immediately after I then called my household insurance and they gave me a better price. I called Cell C Insurance back (which was within 15 min of the first call to them) and informed them to please delete the quote and since I gave them my banking details to please ensure my details are deleted off their system - They confirmed they deleted.

At the end of February a pro rata and a full month amount for this insurance was deducted from my bank account. I have been calling the last 2 months for a refund, having to repeat myself every call and I was told they need to go through their call records to make sure I called in to cancel. I was informed on 23 March that I cant get a refund which I find totally disgusting and I am going to fight for this as I did not confirm for this service
