I purchased A Sony Xperia T about 6 and half weeks ago, which after a week the Speaker stopped working and LCD proved to be faulty, I took it back to the MTN shop which I purchased the device from. They informed me that the device would be taken in for a warranty assessment.

Fair enough, after going back and forth with the Service Provider it's been over 5 weeks now that I am still sitting with a device and my patience really is wearing thin. They keep telling me that Sony is the reason to blame for shortage in stock. Now either way I am starting to feel very negative towards both MTN and Sony reason being I do not believe had it been

1. Any other Cell phone Manufacturer
2. Any other Service Provide

I would be sitting without a phone for so long. I am a contract customer and I pay monthly for the device, which means I have already paid a month for a device I do not have and now going for month number 2. The accounts department does not hesitate to bill me every month and the consultants are happy to score commission where possible but the end use gets 0 support.
