Poor service- vodacom/incredible. connection

I submitted an application for a vodacom contract at Incredible connection (Greenacres PE) on Sun.17.03.2013 for an IPad4
I was informed that the deal had been approved and that I could collect on Thurs. 21.03.2013

On Wednesday (20.03.2013) I was contacted by Sunita, who confirmed that I could come in on Thurs. to collect the device.
Wed afternoon, at 16:45 she called me to advise that my details needed to be verified and that I would not be able to collect on Thursday.

Fri 22.03.2013, at 09:10, Sunita calls and advised me that she will be able to provide me with feedback from her head office in about 3 hrs time (noon), but that there would not be a problem with my application.
I received another call from her at 10:37 to inform me tthe head office turn around time is now 24 hours.
I find this completely unacceptable.

I submitted the necessary info on the 17.03- ample time for Vodacom to do the required verification checks.
I do not appreciate the fact that committments are made that cannot be met.
Understandably, every company has policies and procedures it needs to adhere to- but I am being inconvenienced and given the run around
