Cell C
Rejected my device claim because of different SIM!

I have a contract with Cell C of which the cellphone that I got with the contract was. This phone was insured with Cell C. After it was I filled in Cell C's requested forms. I gave them the affidavid as well.

The Samsung Galaxy SII that I got with the contract with Cell C was in front of the Spar in Brits. It was out of one of my girlfriends' handbag which was in the car. After further investigation and speaking to one of the employees of the Spar, we found out that there is a gang that uses a "Jamming Device" that prevents your car from locking while you lock it with your remote. This is one of the 4 exact same incidents that happened there on that day.

I claimed for a new phone, but was refused, because the contract sim card was not in the phone. This is ridiculous. Here are different reasons why one would want to do this:

The other service provider has cheaper rates
I reached my limit and did not want to go over on the contract, so I switched to another sim card that I have
I used my phone for business and all my contacts have the other number and not my new number
I did not have sufficient coverage
Some contacts were saved on the other sim card
