Vodacom
Upgrade to Force LTE

Telecommunications

Hi.
I recently Went to Upgrade my Vodacom Contract to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. I viewed my options and decided to go for the NON LTE version witch was about R160 Cheaper per month. Then I was informed that there is a Backorder of the phones and they cannot tell me when I will receive my Phone. i Decided to Call around the Cape Town area to maybe find one at a not to busy store, to no avail. I then Tweeted Vodacom to ask when they expect the Phone to be available they then told me there is NO stock as they are waiting for the LTE version to launch. I cannot see how the LTE Note 2 Launch Can/Should affect the Stock of non LTE Note 2's. Does this mean Vodacom is going to force Us To take the LTE phone and Pay more? it really feels like they are. I see they also removed the Note 2 from the website. It feels like you Force this more expensive model on to us. Yes its fast Internet, but we All know from your end its cheaper to Run LTE from your end is cheaper than 3G.
