IPhone5 not working - Vodacom completely apathetic

I have gotten an iPhone5 on contract via Vodacom, and in spite of numerous calls to report a fault (and even trying to have the phone exchanged at Vodacom Customer care in Gateway) I still have to go without being able to use my phone because I have either no voice-service, no signal, or no data connection for days on end. I can't call my clients, I can't call my family, and who knows what will happen if I need my phone for an emergency - it is little more than a brick at the moment. Vodacom's response has consistently been "we will log a fault, and someone will get back to you" - which would be great except that NO ONE THAT CAN FIX ANYTHING EVER DOES, and since the 30th of January when the change to LTE went through I have not been able to use my phone (in spite of having to pay R925 for my contract!!) for days on end. This is breach of contract, I can't see why I should be trapped in the contract and keep paying for it if I am not able to use what I am paying for. Each effort to initiate a cancellation process is blocked by the call centres, and not once have I been able to get anyone to swop the phone.
