Waiting 27 days for an engineer to contact me

On 11/01/14 I purchased a sim card with mobile data to the value of R999. Despite assurance that my area was covered, there's 0 service. It tells me I'm out of data, when I have 50gb loaded. I've lost count of the many many visits to 8ta Fourways, phone calls to Telkom, and emails.

The response from Telkom each time is both disgusting and infuriating. I receive the generic message - no matter the medium of enquiry - "Thank you for your enquiry. Your fault has been escalated and Please be advised that the home support team will contact you to make an appointment."

27 days later I am still waiting for this elusive contact from Telkom. Absolutely appalling. I've spent a small fortune phoning Telkom from my cell phone (sometimes, after no response after 10min of waiting I hang up). I have also spent money on purchasing data and a sim from MTN - at least they provide good service.

This complaint has now been sent to my attorney, who has advised that Telkom's shortcomings are a contravention of my consumer rights.

I am looking for Telkom's legal dept. details, so that I may submit the attorney's letter.

I am requesting a full refund. Telkom will NEVER see another cent from me.
