MTN SIM SWOP

I am very disappointed of the hassle that I have to go through just to do a Sim swop, I called MTN Call centre and they asked me the security questions; numbers I last dialled i gave it to them, the type of Plan am using I gave it to them, the type of Phone I am using and when last I recharged. I gave them all these details and still they are not able to assist me. Has it gone so difficult just to do a Sim swop, I go to the shop at OR Tambo and they tell me to phone but i still get no help really??? Im frustrated and without a phone because for some reason mtn has rejected my sim card and they can give me no reason for that. I dont want to change numbers because i have had this number for more than 5 years and regard myself a loyal customer to them, but this is the service i am getting back. Maybe i should change to another network?
I will never recommend mtn to anyone if this is the nonsense i have to go through for such a simple thing that i need to be done.
