Two years ago we took out contracts with 8ta for all 4 our children. But please don't expect to get a cellphone number "ported" to 8ta. 6 months after taking the initial contract - they still couldn't get it right & my 15 year old daughter still had no contact with the outside world. EVENTUALLY after many hours of being placed on hold, never being called back & empty promises 8ta decided to start a new contract & give my daughter an 8ta number - but what they didn't tell us was... they started a new contract. Thereby extending the contract (which we had been paying all along) by another 6 months.

Eventually we get to the time of cancelling the contract. Oh my goodness I think this is worse than trying to port the number. I personally filled in the cancellation forms at an 8ta store at the South Coast Mall (as required - a month before the time). And - it never gets sent through to be processed.

NOW they tell me the one contract cannot be cancelled because it still has 6 months. No one at the call centre can deal with my call & the Managers make promises of calling back which hasn't happened in 2 days.
