I received my statement from Telkom for December, to my surprise I see calls that were made in September & October. I queried as to why they appeared on my statement for December. Ideally if there was a fault it should have been picked up sooner. Why was I charged for these calls if a world call card was used. The phone has a block and password on it which is known only by me and is paid for monthly. I reported this; my ref # 27162976. I received a call this morning and I was told that according to their system the calls were made not utilising a calling card. I find this very strange because for years I have used world call cards and I have never had this problem. I am extremely annoyed because I feel cheated by Telkom and I am not satisfied with the explanation I received. How can I be assured that when I use a world call card I won't be double charged? From what I understand the moment you call 10136, it is a toll free number and it states the amount on the card and how long I can speak for.
