Lack of interest - Generally bad customer service

I used to subscribe to Afrihost's most expensive ADSL product. This month I had a cash shortfall caused by a car accident I was involved in, and the nature of the circumstances resulted in the damages costing me R19, 000.00 cash. As recommended by my accountant, I contacted my creditors in advance (Afrihost being one) and pleaded with Afrihost to keep my internet service active for a further 5 days. I explained the issue around the car accident and sent supporting documentation as proof along with information of the temporary overdraft facility i have applied for at my bank which was approved. After recieving no reply from afrihost my service was suspended this morning. I use my internet service for personal and business use and as explained in my email a few days ago, should my service be suspended, it would severely impair my ability to conduct business and generate income to rectify my current predicament. I am disillusioned that In today's competitive business environments, small 2nd tier ISPs like afrihost on the surface appear to aggressively compete for new clients, yet the underlying reality is that the pillars of the business are uncompetitive and shortsighted policies
