I purchased a 60 60 Mobile broadband SIM card from 8ta after double checking my coverage area and the usb 3G modem (Hauwei E1820) for compatibility.

I am 500m away from what is indicated on 8ta's coverage area as LTE and is smack in the normal 3G coverage area.
After purchasing the SIM card and connecting it to my modem, I found that my signal is only 1 bar!
I even went as far as going to a Telkom store and asking for a signal booster of sorts - they referred me to L.O. Rall in Brackenfell Industrial area which is a Scrapyard and Demolition experts!!!

I went online and purchased an external antenna for my Hauwei E1820 usb modem, but even that did not help...

The customer care lady put me on hold for 5 minutes only to tell me that I have to clear my cache and restart my computer - that is just wonderful service and fantastic advice! So much for technical assistance.

I feel I have tried everything in my power to sort this out... but now I just want a refund and be on my way. I can spot a losing horse when I see one... service... coverage... information...
