PHONE LINE OUT OF ORDER FOR TWO WEEKS

Two weeks ago our landline started crackling very badly and on Monday 6th I reported the fault online. I immediately was given a reference (375CRZ060114) both on line and by sms. On the 9th at 19:57:06 I received another sms saying the line had been tested and was found to be working... it wasn't! By this time we could neither receive nor make calls. So I took no action which according to the sms would indicate that I did not agree it was working and it would be fixed. On Monday 13th I called again and was told it would be escalated and marked URGENT. Since then NOTHING has happened. The phone is still not working and one cannot get past the call centre operators who say that their manager is not in on that day. When someone phones us the line just gives them a ringing tone which makes it appear that we are not here.

It is not sufficient for these call centre operators to apologise on Telkom's behalf unless something is actually being done. WE NOW HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO USE THE PHONE FOR TWO WEEKS. We are spending a fortune on cell phone calls for which we will not be compensated.
